Lamond-Riggs Library Rebuilding Survey

Edit: Link to survey corrected.

DC Public Library released a short initial survey for the Lamond-Riggs Library rebuilding project to begin the community engagement process. Complete it online. The survey asks how individuals currently get to and use the library, what services individuals would like that the current library does not offer, and potential community spaces suitable for offering storytime when the library closes for construction.

If you want to participate in a focus group for the project, email focus.groups@dc.gov or call 202-727-1188 with your name, age, and whether you have children who use the library.

Asbestos Abatement Rec

A neighbor asked for recommendations for an asbestos abatement company for a home renovation project. If you have worked with or know someone who has worked with a contractor that you would recommend, let us know in the comments.

Question from neighbor: “I’m replacing the flooring in the basement. I need to have asbestos removed prior to having the new flooring installed. I need suggestions for a company that I should use?”
