Hi, did I read the news correctly that three of the SMDs in ANC 5A there was no one who ran to be a commissioner? What will happen?
Hi there, my understanding is that Derrick Holloway (current ANC 5A06 commissioner) ran as a certified write-in candidate for 5A06. If he won enough votes, he’ll just have to certify to BOE that he accepts. For 5A05 & 5A07 (assuming there were no legitimate write-in candidates), I believe the Board will declare a vacancy on its own and the vacancy will be filled according to the usual procedure.
