These pictures are a testament to the change sweeping our neighborhood. Some of the change is long overdue, such as the trails on either side of the Fort Totten Metro Station and the Lamond-Riggs Library renovation. The other changes reflect the dynamism engendered by the city-wide population boom.
Our community is experiencing a transformative process in which more services and amenities are available at the cost of increasing density. So, I hope that our political leaders reach across the aisles in addressing competing demands. No matter what happens, we are still in the same boat at the end of the day.
