What project is planned at 1 Hawaii Ave? Just curious, as I don’t think I’ve heard about this previously.
I wrote about it in this post. They’re proposing to replace the existing apt building with a new one, will remain 100% affordable units. But they’ve applied for a curb cut concurrently with the application for the new project, & right now they’re only asking about the curb cut. They’ll present on the full project at a later date.

Hopefully the curb cut won’t be a big obstacle to approval. I applaud efforts to build affordable, modern apartment units in DC, and it would also be great to have a nicer building at that major intersection.
