Volunteer for LRCA’s Spring Clean-Up

Sign up to clean up! Join your Lamond-Riggs neighbors on April 14, 2018, for Spring Clean Up Day. The event will bring together neighbors to make our community more beautiful and healthy.

Register at https://lrca-cleanup.eventbrite.com

Volunteers will pick up trash on neighborhood streets and alleyways across the Lamond-Riggs neighborhood.

  • The first 20 people to sign up to clean up will get a free pint from Hellbender Brewery!

We need street captains to help lead the clean up activities! If you’re interested in volunteering, or want to suggest a location where we should send some volunteers, please let us know on the registration page.

Event details:

    • 9:30 AM — Meet at the Riggs-LaSalle Recreation Center to pick up bags, gloves, and trash pickers. DC Water will be providing cool water and free water bottles. DC Water’s Wendy the Water Drop Mascot will be coming for some adorable photo ops!
    • 10 AM — Clean up crew members will meet with their Street Captain at a mutually-agreed location and do street and alleyway cleanup activities. On your way, stop by Culture Coffee Too for a FREE cup of coffee generously provided by the store.
    • 11:30 AM – Noon — Drop off the filled bags either in front of the Rec Center or on the curbside near Hellbender Brewery.
    • Noon — Meet up at Hellbender Brewery

In case of inclement weather, the clean up will be postponed until Saturday, April 21, and the event details will remain the same.

Bags and gloves for the cleanup are generously provided by the Alice Ferguson Foundation.

Hosted by the Environment Committee of the Lamond-Riggs Citizens Association
